A brand new edition to Ducati’s 2022 motorcycle lineup; the Streetfighter V2 is sure to leave an impression on most. Aimed at bringing an option of further practicality to Ducati’s streetfighter lineup, the V2 offers less power without sacrificing ability when compared to its bigger brother (the 2022 Ducati Streetfighter V4).
With the Panigale V4 being effortlessly translated to a hyper naked in the form of the Streetfighter V4, it was only a matter of time until we saw the recent Panigale V2 get a similar treatment. Although Ducati has left us with half the cylinders, the Streetfighter V2 definitely didn’t get a ½ cut in the performance department at all.
Through an arduous process of stripping back all of the bodywork and plastics on the Panigale V2, and converting it to a naked with a different seating position and ergonomics; a comfortable foe now approaches.
The new Streetfighter V2 aggressively wraps itself around a 955cc Superquadro 90-degree V-twin, which – despite having half the cylinders of the bigger V4 – still manages to churn 153 horsepower and 75 lb-ft of torque when compared to the V4’s 208 horsepower potential.
Clutchless shifting through Ducati’s Quick Shift (DQS) EVO 2 paired with all of the computer assists you could ever need make this Streetfighter a valid track weapon thanks to its class-leading tech.
Thanks to its lower price point than the titan-of-a-V4, the V2 is a comfortable entry point for riders seeking a true Italian Streetfighter experience without having to break the bank.
